We are currently recruiting for a Dispatch Co-ordinator.

Primary Job Purpose 

Responsible for the supervision and co-ordination of pre-flight, post-flight and ramp activities pertaining to Voyager aircraft movements at the Main Operations Base. 

Key Responsibilities 
Reporting to the Senior Dispatch Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for: 
* Handling all pre-flight arrangements, assisting the aircraft commander and crew and coordinate any departure activity. 
* Collating and/or checking the meteorological, flight planning, general flight briefing information, role configuration, details and location of an assigned aircraft 
* Checking planned flight load details, load weights and distribution. Completion of all mass and balance calculations as required 
* Acting as the liaison officer between the RAF ground handling staff and the Flight Operations ensuring that any delays are minimalised and the crew are kept informed. Ensure all paperwork is handed over to the Authority or Flights operations with respect to inbound flights 
* Coordinating and monitoring of any ground handling agencies/procedures as required (loaders, caterers, fuellers) 
* Briefing of crews as required on the flight deck and coordinating final airside flight departure preparations as required 
* Ensure logs are accurately maintained recording all significant events or programme changes with regards to any issues affecting Service Credits. 
* Coordinate internal cleaning for the aircraft ensuring that it is maintained to the highest standards with respect to the interior of the aircraft 
* Assisting the Senior Dispatch Coordinator in all Dangerous Goods (DG) related matters and when required taking the role of advisor to the nominated DG post holder. 
* Ensuring that departmental error monitoring occurs and all details recorded. 


Essential: 

* Demonstrable airline ramp experience gained within a military or civilian environment 
* Knowledge of aircraft turn-round operations 
* Knowledge of loading, load distribution and weight and balance 
* Knowledge of an operations room environment. 
* Knowledge of a thorough understanding of all airport/airfield operations 
* Working knowledge of the regulations relating to the carriage of dangerous goods 
* Ability to communicate and liaise with internal and external agencies 
* Organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a complex and demanding environment 
* Ability to make critical decisions quickly and act on own initiative 
* Proficient in the English language (written, verbal & reading) 

Desirable: 

* Dual knowledge of both military and civil ramp dispatch procedures.
